Albany ARC Preschool is an inclusive educational program that serves typical & atypical
children ages 0-3. This program is designed to provide services to families with children that
may be “at risk.” The children are provided activities that will help them grow mentally,
socially, emotionally, & physically. Children with disabilities are included in all classroom
activities. The children leave the Albany ARC Preschool more prepared for their next school
experience, excited about learning & ready to succeed.
Preschool services
Albany ARC Preschool offers a center-based instructional program. Two sessions are
offered daily, one in the morning & one in the afternoon. Transportation is offered for
those students in need.
Each child is assessed & an individualized treatment plan is written for each child, which
contains specific goals to be worked on. The children are monitored daily to record their
progress. By the time the children reach their third birthday, they are referred to the Public
School System or Head Start for services.
